Program Description
This comprehensive course has been designed to gain a working knowledge of the Immigration and Nationality system or to enhance your experience of the complexities of the Immigration Law and the Federal Regulations. This course is classified by the Florida Bar as Intermediate Level and CLEs are available for those who apply. Attorneys who wish to learn about immigration law or would like to be up to date with the latest trends and case law are encouraged to register.
Topics of discussion shall include non-immigrant visas such as NAFTA visas, E-1/E-2 trader visas, the Visa Lottery, B-1 Visitors for Business, H-1B Specialty Occupations, L-1A Intracompany Transferee Visas, and also Political Asylum. Discussions on immigrant visas shall include family-based Immigrant visas, Employment-based Immigrant visas, Labor Certifications, Adjustment of Status, and Naturalization. Additionally, issues in ethics, Professionalism, Disciplinary Process, and Case Law will be included in the course.
Upon completion of the course, attorneys shall receive 28.5 CLEs from the Florida Bar, including 3.5 CLEs in Ethics and a certificate of completion from Florida International University.
